Our Story
Founded in January 2013, The Macaron Studio is a family owned and operated small business located in San Diego, California. We are a business fueled by passion, propelled by creativity, and powered by professionalism.
Although we are all very different we all share a love for photography, food, baking and family. Alone we are great but we're even better together.

Marvin Arcelona
Co-Founder, Macaron Mad Scientist, and Photographer
I am a Southern California based photographer that specializes in portrait and product photography. I constantly challenge myself to make my next shot better than my last. I am always learning and moving forward to make myself the best photographer that I can become.
Currently I am helping run a photo group that is trying to get all photographers from all walks of life (albeit new, amateur or pro) together as a community to share their knowledge of photography with one another.
When I am not behind my camera you can find me in the kitchen experimenting on my next Macaron flavor combination.

Angelia Trinidad
Co-Founder, Business Strategist and Macaron Lab Tech
I'm a 35 year old trapped in the body of a 22 year old. Hahaha. I'm driven by a insatiable curiosity of why things are the way they are and love to challenge the status quo. In my business and art making process I love simplicity, mistakes and collaboration.
My insights and connections from more than 100 small business, food, marketing, and personal development books, as well as 7 years of experiences as a working artist, wedding consultant, and elementary school teacher.
These skills and experience has helped me build the perfect macaron and photography studio and the business foundation to support it.

Like a French Macaron, I like to describe my style as uncomplicated and pleasing to look at. I find that keeping things simple usually results in a stress free and enjoyable experience for myself and everyone I work with. I love photographing people in their natural element, whether they're playing their favorite sport, performing on a stage, or making something delicious in the kitchen.
Drawing on the knowledge through reading photography books, collaborating with other photographers, and gaining experience by challenging myself through various photo projects I've been able to attain to take the best picture I can.
Jason Nunag
Photographer and Quality Control
I am a photographer who specializes in portraits, landscapes, and product photography. I like to try new and creative things while working with my clients to capture the perfect moment. I strive to be unique, in that unlike other photographers, I do not own a camera - just an iPhone with instagram. Just kidding! (rest assured, I have a wide array of photography gear and I am very good at pressing buttons.) Joking aside, I do take a lot of pride in my work and I continually strive to produce the highest quality photo. I WILL give you pretty photos!
